LONG LIVE THE MEGA-POST!
You should be able to view it again, but Masako had to shut off the comments at…

She had to delete one spam comment to get it viewable again (link).
Please, let’s hear a big round of applause for all of you who posted in the Mega-Post and kept it alive for a year and four months. Please use this comment thread to post your fondest memories of the post with the most…

BroMu,
Any particular flavor? Or will any flavor do.
(This Internet thing is wonderful in helping to figure out the British slang.)
I’ll take one in vegetarian monkey
Is that for a vegetarian monkey, or vegetarian monkey flavoured?
Surprise me, Steve.
But not in a ‘John Carpenter’s ‘Halloween” kind of way.
How about in an Alfred Hitchcock “Psycho” kind of way?
Or in a Nicolas Roeg “Don’t Look Now” kind of way?
Those are both fine.
I like red. Even if it’s in black and white. And really chocolate sauce (apparently).
Well it’s arrived!
Not only the White iPhone but International Frog Day.
I suppose an international frog would be multicroakal.
Happy freakin’ Arbor Day!!
Woo-hoo!
Steve,
Is that,”arbor” as in trees or “harbour” as in a safe haven for sailors?
Nxxx,
On this side of the pond, we hit those “H”s hard.
What, the big “H”.
Horse.
Lordy.
H is for hops.
Hops, as in the beer ingredient?
Hmmm…. beer.
BroMu lives in The Garden of England, renowned for its hop fields.
I think that;s a fair description of the situation.
Hoppy fields forever?
Well, every garden has its compost heap, Nxxx.
And, appropriately enough, Gravesend smells like one currently.
Worth it for the good beer brewed in Kent.
BTW:-Do you think Steve mistook the Medway for the Mersey in his “Hoppy fields forever” post?
A Segway for New Jersey?
It’s all piffle, since “winter is coming.”
Noooo Not winter!!!!
Yes, winter. Australia. Soon. Ice cubes in the surf. Frosted koalas. Kangaroos on skis.
“Frosted koalas. They’rrrrre grrrrrrrrrrrreat!”
Or so says a certain spokes-tiger.
Watch out for the dingo eating frozen baby on a stick.
More like a drongo.
Shifting gears (grind): the spam-bots are at it again elsewhere on the boards. Getting a little deep out there.
Is there a tunnel branch we could drop them into? I then recommend sending in some of Del’s critters and sealing the tunnel behind them. (Feeling a touch ornery at the moment…)
Please don’t close the trans-Atlantic.
How else am I going to see Del’s laboratory before I die? And I probably will, seeing those critters but more likely overcome by Del’s sheer beauty.
I think we’re supposed to shoot them into the sun, but I lost my Spambot Pest Control Manual, so I could be wrong.
Someone (or something) seems to have torn out pages 304-305 of my SPCM, so I’m not sure either.
Aww thanks Nyxx.
Our weather has flipped again and we actually had a teeny bit of snow on Friday. Not enough to stick, but it came down.
Did I mention the kittens swim now?

Be careful, Del. Remember what happened to Seigfried. Or was it Roy?
I thought they were one person: Seigfriednroy?
Don’t be silly BroMu, it’s Fred Seigfried the owner of the Scottish Fish and Chippy that invented the Fried Mars Bar.
He tried frying Seigs but they did not sell.
He should have fried ‘Heils’ instead.
Made the world a better place.
Presumably less cluttered with ‘Dogme’, if recent Cannes outbursts are any guide.
In related verbiage, being a fan both of Mars bars and the Frying Art, I had one of them thar deep fried cardiovascular workouts when in Edinburgh. Mmmm. Nice.
I think it’s somewhere just south of my aorta by now. And hence a few months away from moving me just (6ft) south of my current location wrt the Earth’s surface.
I’ve never had a deep fried candy bar and I have not tried deep fried butter either. Though I do love deep fried pickles.
My doctor advised me to cut back on foods that are pickled, fried, dipped in chocolate, or infused with alcohol. What does that leave?
Human flesh?
Although my *lawyer* advised me to cut back on that.
Dirt?
Mmmmh, dirt. Loamy, sandy or more lke clay?
What’s wrong with chalk, the veal of limestone?
Chalk is okay, with a pint of Sumpinoruther to wash it down with,
Charcoal to cleanse the pallet.
Some good schist and gravelly soil makes for some good vineyard land, methinks.
Getting worried in case Ace starts eating the interesting geology.
I’ll bet that most people never thought they’d see the phrase “interesting geology.”
For some people, geology “rocks.”
I’d just like to point out that I have tunnelled through to the *current* CARS post and cunningly started a geology-themed thread there.
It seemed appropriate, given the vast time the post has been in situ, gradually eroding (our oozy-love for John).
What would happen if this post merged with the current one, though? Are we talking alternate realities, supernova-sized explosions, and talking bunnies here?
Whilst you’re on about “talking bunnies”, I thought that Black Hawk Down was a sequel to Watership Down.
Imagine the kids’ shock and disappointment at that.
Or indeed the napalm-junkies that rented the ‘prequel’.
Is this the dangerous one?
Will I be able to pick up shredded kneecaps and say “Yarrrr!. You’ve deaded me.”
