A highly reliable source within Apple’s hardware engineering has provided the following fascinating pictures of the G5’s revolutionary cooling system.

According to the source, the pictures, each enlarged over 10,000 times, show the liquid cooling system at work at the three points shown in the image below where…

  • data flows onto the stack

  • data is loaded to the registers

  • data enters the arithmetic logic unit

The source did not explain why data looks like chicks in bathing suits.

Um…

Frankly, we’re rethinking his status as “a highly reliable source.” We’re thinking maybe “a dude with a large collection of pictures of chicks in wet bathing suits.”
