LONG LIVE THE MEGA-POST!
You should be able to view it again, but Masako had to shut off the comments at…
3821.
She had to delete one spam comment to get it viewable again (link).
Please, let’s hear a big round of applause for all of you who posted in the Mega-Post and kept it alive for a year and four months. Please use this comment thread to post your fondest memories of the post with the most…
the Mega-Post.
Was that ‘Zimmer’? My ears aren’t what they were these days.
Because I’ve transplanted them from my latest victim.
Are you having a go BroMU?
If so, outside now.
Well it is warmer until the heating’s fixed.
Outside, Nxxx? What is this ‘outside’ of which you speak?
All I’ve known for the last 11 years (count ’em) is my iMac screen and this post. And my man nappy.
Someone has to ask so, is your man nappy the “cool” thing that lady was referring to?
It’s usually warm-to-steaming, Nxxx.
BroMu,
Are you charged VAT on them by the EU?
Once again, you commenters in England are talking over my head. My only recourse is to nod my head as if I understand, and hope there isn’t a quiz at the end.
I feel that way about most of my life, Ace.
Apologies to the Cousins.
Amongst the problems of the European Union, hope I got that right, is that they set minimum Value Added Tax on various class of produce including man nappies.
Now my one remaining active brain cell is confused.
But Nxxx, who gets to decide whether any value is added? I might value an iFlame rather highly if I’m in one of the tunnels, trying to ward off the grues. But if I’m on the sofa watching television, I might forget I even have an iFlame.
Must be the March Madness…
Steve,
The EU does not move, let alone march.
Let me point out that soon will be the one year anniversary of the last article posted by Moltz. Is it worth celebrating?
Since when have we needed a reason to celebrate?
Speaking only for myself: since I ran out of piñatas. I’m not buying a piñata for every minor event that comes along.
Will there be pie? Possibly piñata pie?
Try saying that when you’re pissed.
Piñata pie. That sounds like fun.
A pie plate with flaky crust filled with toys and candy, beaten mercilessly by a blindfolded tunnel-dweller. What could go wrong?
Depends on who is getting beaten.
Germany are.
Unusually.
BroMu,
Don’t mention the war.
I did once, but I don’t think anyone noticed.
PS: Shall I do the funny walk?
Only if it is the full Ministry repertoire.
Where does one go to learn how to walk without the “funny” aspect?
And, hey! Anyone want some insurance? It’s the latest trend. One never knows what might befall one. Can’t be too careful nowadays…
Especially if you’re Silly Walking.
Can one get insurance against being hit by a flying iWhale?
Can I get insurance against being pestered about insurance? Or better still, paying for my insurance.
I’m quite sure that one of the recently commenting insurance hawkers here has exactly the kind of insurance-against-insurance product you need. Unfortunately it would require that you click on the link provided, which I believe would subject you to horrors that you would need other insurance to cover.
Can I get some outsurance?
Steve,
Very easy and no fees.
Look all does and windows, go out the front door, make sure it is locked and then drop all keys in the nearest drain or deep water.
That’s deep.
But what if the mole people find my keys?
Mole people cannot swim.
Boo Hoo, why did I not get 7250?
It’s unfair, I never get a good post number,
Wanders off, sobbing piteously………………
Nxxx,
Don’t cry…I promise that some good numbers are in your future. Post comments frequently to improve your chances, and you’re bound to win eventually.
I apply the same rationale to lottery tickets.
I’m not proud.
It would be more predictable (and easier to engage in shameless rounds of comment-stacking) if the page jumps occurred at round-numbered intervals. Like they used to, some time ago.
I humbly request the Grammar Police to check my use of hyphens in the sentence above. I’m not sure I used them correctly.
Hyphen???????????
Isn’t that known in common parlance as “the cherry”?
Nxxx, I consulted with the “The Master of Malaprop,” Norm Crosby, about your question, and he says it makes perfect sense to him.
Steve G., I read what you wrote very carefully, and am astonished that you used the hyphens just as they are intended to be used—to avoid ambiguity. What’s the matter with you?
Ace, if I answer that question, you’ll probably want financial compensation. Plus, I really don’t have that kind of time.
I’ve drawn a crayon picture to help you with that, Steve.
I used a lot of black.
And red.
The recent trend toward contentless commentary on the most recent article here at CARS makes me want to exclaim “Cheers!”
I’ve just checked back. People are still posting! That’s quite sweet. Like sending letters to Santa. Or praying to a small but perfectly formed statue of Courtney Cox.
I understand what the letters to Santa might bring, but what do you get if you pray to a statue of Courtney Cox?
Steve,
Could it be a typo?
Prey instead of pray?
Clearly I’m too sophisticated to nibble on your bait, Steve. But I will perhaps text you something once the Feds have released my laptop.
Nxxx,
Then it would have been a double typo “prey on,” as I cannot figure out how one can “prey to” without falling. Then this just gets weird.
It’s always been weird.
But it feels so *right*.
I would say that “I wonder why I say such things.” But I know where that will lead (nowhere good). You would think that I would have learned by now, however many years it’s been.
