13 Oct 07Thrilling CARS Audio Extravaganza!

Shum Stra iz in our interwebs recordin’ our Help Desks and has the audio of the first question in yesterday’s Help Desk. Why go to all the trouble of reading it when you can just give it a listen (936k MP3)?

Why don’t we do this all the time? Because we hate you. And we suck.

It’s a rather unfortunate combination.

  3. mjharper says:

Oh, and the mp3 is pretty damn awesome! More, more, more!

  4. Nxxx says:

Your writings are more than enough for the unworthy, like us.

The other problem is that the police might recognise the ‘heavy breathing’ voice as well as the ‘threatening violence’ and ‘death’ calls.

  5. Slevin says:

    Mambo numba 5

  6. Slevin says:

Crap seis… The new CARS audio is quite odd but funny! Lets get some more Help Desk up!

  7. Piggy says:

  8. Loose Leaf says:

    This on a saturday!?!?

I can’t take it, too much. CARS overload. Brain shutting down.

  9. pauldwaite says:

    That tune is PHAT.

  10. CB says:

I cry NOT FAIR. On a Saturday.without.warning. Now I missed top 10 2x in a row. Bah humbug.

  11. CB says:

However, love the audio. Can I have another helping?

  12. Ace Deuce says:

I almost felt like dancing for a sec there.

And I disagree with Nxxx on this one. CARS needs to move into video podcasts, with comments allowing imbedded images, sounds, and olfactory and kinesthetic touches.

All you need is bandwidth, banddepth, and bandbreadth. And a server farm.

  13. Sudo Nym says:

The audio is very fine, but since we’re talking about a dance, I was hoping for some sort of Labanotation or something.

On the other hand, I can’t read Labanotation, or, really any kind of dance notation, so don’t go to a lot of trouble on my account.

  14. Apple Lopsider says:

That would require quite a lot of funding, Ace. There’s very little profit in farming servers, especially trying to compete with today’s industrial agriculture. What happened to good old fashioned server husbandry?

The costs mount fast: a soundboard, lighting, makeup artists… that’s right: makeup artists. The Entity may have evolved beyond the need for a “meaty sack” body, but that doesn’t mean it takes no pride in its appearance. Quantum makeup’s expensive, even the cheap Revlon stuff.

  15. scared monster, better known as A Man that goes On and On, says:

Hey ! Doesn’t it sound like Zappa ?
And, er…in fact CARS doen’t need real actors, as there’s lot’s of pretty voices in every mac !
    Oh, Vicki…
    and, oooooooh

  16. michael says:

    Thank you, Streetrabbit.

(hint: it’s a the-site-is-not-live-yet page. Which makes the linkety somewhat pointless.)

  29. ZunePhone Getting Closer, Closer, Closer, ….
    ZunePhone, ZunePhone, ZunePhone, ZunePhone, ……..
That’s all I seem to hear from everybody where ever I go! As I told you people back in July, “ZunePhone is getting closer!” It’s closer than it was back then by several months.
I can confirm that among the massive feature list of the “ZuP” (as I like to call it) will be:

    4g Network capability
    FM Radio
    Lo-res GPS
    Terra-Server DirectAccess
    WhisperPhone Technology
    Volume Control
    SilverLight Animation
    IE 8 (Light Edition)
    IndirectBuy Technology

The list goes on and on and on …….
That’s why it’s taking us so long, we are doing this the Microsoft way! RIGHT!
Sure Apple sent over their little snitches and sneak-thieves and stole our ZuP Alpha Mock ups (which they used to make the iPhone), but we will let that slide.

Get the “Real Thing!” Zup! Coming closer, closer, closer, closer, clo………..
